Every developer has a graveyard of unfinished projects. Every designer has mockups that never became real products. The reason is almost always the same — they tried to do it alone.
Building a product requires both design and engineering. A developer can write beautiful code, but without good UX the product feels broken. A designer can create stunning interfaces, but without someone to implement them, they stay as Figma files forever.
We built Kollaba to solve this.
The idea is simple: post your project, describe what you need, and find the right person. Or browse existing projects and join one that excites you. Think of it as Tinder for pet-projects — swipe through ideas, find your match, start building.
How it works
Create a profile — tell the community who you are, what you do, and what you're looking for.
Post a project — describe your idea, the stack you're using, and what kind of help you need.
Find your partner — browse projects or people, apply to join, or wait for someone to find you.
Start building — once matched, you get a direct chat to coordinate and build together.
What makes Kollaba different
We're not a job board. We're not a freelance marketplace. There's no money involved.
Kollaba is for people who want to build something cool on the side — for fun, for learning, for their portfolio, or just because they can.
The best products come from small teams of 2-3 people who share a vision. We help those teams form.
What's next
We're just getting started. Right now the core is working — projects, profiles, applications, real-time chat, and this blog where you can share your thoughts with the community.
Coming soon: mobile version, project categories, AI-powered matching, and more ways to discover the right collaborator.
If you have an idea sitting in your notes app — post it. If you're looking for something to work on — browse the projects page. The worst that can happen is you meet someone interesting.
Let's build something together.
