When you use Kollaba, we collect:

  • Account information: email address, username, role, skills, bio, and portfolio links you provide during registration and onboarding
  • OAuth data: name, email, and avatar from GitHub or Google when you sign in with these providers
  • Content: projects, blog posts, comments, messages, and applications you create
  • Uploaded files: avatar images, project covers, and blog cover images

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Platform
  • Display your profile to other users
  • Enable communication between users
  • Send notifications about applications, messages, and account activity
  • Send email confirmations and password reset links

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in Frankfurt, EU) and Cloudflare R2 (file storage, Western Europe). We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your profile information (username, role, skills, bio, portfolio links) is publicly visible to other users on the Platform. We may share data with third-party services that help us operate the Platform:

  • Supabase: database and authentication
  • Cloudflare: file storage and bot protection
  • Resend: transactional email delivery

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics at this time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data through your profile and settings
  • Update or correct your information at any time
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data upon request

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some content (such as messages sent to other users) may persist in their conversations.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform.
